Safe-T-Proof was founded in 1992 on the simple notion of protecting children from earthquakes, but in 1994 when a quake hit California and founder Michael Essrig's products held up to the test, he found himself literally surrounded by customers at his home. His house was converted into a showroom and for months he was inundated with customers.
